Do you know of a single person with a personal goal of bringing misery into their lives, as well as the lives of everyone who loves them? Me neither.
Alcohol and substance use disorders tend do just that. In the United states, over 20 million Americans struggle with alcohol use disorder. It is literally the number one contributor to injury related deaths in this country. Yet so many of us feel a sense of personal failing- shame, guilt, embarrassment and regret are constant companions. This often creates isolation as well- both an emotional and a literal disconnection can occur.
Are you evaluating your relationship with alcohol or substances?
No matter where you stand today on this journey, consider partnering with Arena Coaching. You are welcome in this judgement-free space, and we can get to work on whatever you identify as important for your wellbeing in this moment. This work will not spend much time on your past; it will be much more focused on being here now, and moving forward in a way that gives you confidence and a sense of balance.
If you have a loved one on this journey, I encourage you to look at coaching as well. There is no blame game here, just support and collaboration to empower you as a parent, sibling, or adult child of someone in the recovery world.
